Question and Answers

Q:

I need to have specific installation instructions for a freezer door handle for a Kenmore Model # 59673503201.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I should be able to help you with removing the door handle. I have provided you with instructions for replacing the door handle below. I recommend putting tape on the door to protect the finish when sliding the handle. Then pull the door handle out slightly and slide the plastic putty knife in to release the lock. Then slide the handle to the right to remove it. Next, transfer the hardware and install the handle.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

clearance needed for bottom freezer Kenmore Elite Refrigerator 59673503201 when it is enclosed in a cabinet. Distance from rear wall needed and top and sides.

A:

The owner's manual/installation guide indicates that 1/2" of clearance is needed at the back of the refrigerator. You will need to take into account the top hinge and you may need to take into account the opening of the door for the top and sides but I do not see a clearance requirement on the top and sides for this model. Q:

kenmore fridge

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the refrigerator. Replacing a compressor on a refrigerator requires special tools and a license to purchase the refrigerant.

First, the old refrigerant has to be evacuated. Then the old compressor has to be cut out. Next, the new compressor is mounted and the lines cleaned. After the lines are clean, they have to be brazed. Next, the filter dyer needs to be cut out and a new one brazed in. once all of the connections are made you need to sweep charge or pull a vacuum in the system. Finally charge the system. When filling the system you must use a scale to ensure the proper amount is put in. I recommend having a qualified service technician do the repair. you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
