Question and Answers

Water Leadk 59668942801 Kenmore Bottom-mount refrigerator

The water is probably overflowing or leaking out of a drain pan in the base of the refrigerator. That drain pan collects the condensate water that is melted off of the evaporator fins during the automatic defrost cycle.

I recommend that you check the drain pan so see if it is cracked or if it has foreign objects inside. Unplug the refrigerator and remove the lower panel on the back of the refrigerator. If the drain pan has foreign objects inside, remove the objects. If the drain pan is cracked, replace it with part W10655367

If you find no problems with the drain pan, then check for possible sources of excess moisture entering the refrigerator cabinet. Check the door gaskets for cracks or loose spots. Make sure that the refrigerator doors are aligned properly. Replace the door gaskets or align the doors if needed.

If the refrigerator is in a garage or non-climate controlled space, then the excess moisture  and overflow of the drain pan is likely normal.

I hope that this information helps.
