Question and Answers

Q:

kenmore dishwasher model 58715263900 won't start

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

When the Status LED's are flashing this indicates the control does not see/detect the door being closed. The failure is likely the L1 door switch is not closing in order for the control board to detect the door being closed. The L1 door switch will have Black wires attached to it. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply before servicing your dishwasher.

See images below.

Q:

The door on my Kenmore 58715263900 dishwasher opens too far

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, the hinges are bent. Both hinges should be replaced. The left hand hinge is part #154691201 and the right hand hinge is part #154691101. To access and replace the two door hinges, remove the outer door panel. To remove the outer door panel, open the door and remove the screws from behind the inner door panel. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply before removing the outer door panel. Remove the two hinge springs before removing and replacing the hinges. You can look up and order the hinges at Sears Parts Direct.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Dishwasher won't drain. 58715263900 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You did not indicate if the drain pump is running or not. If the drain pump is jammed or faulty, it's not going to drain. The drain hose can be disconnected from the drain pump in order to check for a blockage. If the drain pump is not running; the voltage supply to the drain pump will need to be measured when Start/Cancel is pressed.

I added an image below showing how to remove the drain pump. If the drain pump is not getting the proper voltage, the control board is likely faulty.

NOTE: I do not recommend making any voltage measurements unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so, otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher.

If the drain pump is running, check for a blockage in the drain hose and check for a blockage where the drain hose connects under the sink.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.
