Question and Answers

Q:

Why won't my model 580768330 power washer pull soap through the hose? The hose is good and the filter is clean.

A:

The detergent draw valve on the pressure washer is probably gummed up with old detergent from previous use. Remove the hose from the pump. Remove the fitting the hose connects to from the pump.

Lift the fitting from the pump carefully. There is a spring and a stainless steel ball under the spring. Lift the spring and the stainless ball out and clean them. Clean the housing the spring and ball were in. This will usually make the detergent draw work again.

After using detergent in the pressure washer, run some clean water through the detergent draw of the pump to clean the area the spring and ball fit in.

Q:

craftsman pressure washer losses pressure!!!

A:

I posted some highlights of troubleshooting from the owner's manual for this pressure washer. Here is a link for the full owner's manual: Craftsman Pressure Washer 580.768330 Owner's Manual . The basic initial troubleshooting in that manual should not be overlooked.

Cleaning the nozzle may fix your problem. A problem with the carburetor could also cause the failure that you are describing. That carburetor may need to be cleaned. Check the air filter as well.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

water spraying from head on craftsman pressure washer.

A:

Thank you for your question on the pressure washer leaking out the bottom of the head.

I sound like you will need a new set of check valves however I have discovered that the check valve kit (1857120) is no longer available from the manufacturer.

I am sorry that I can not help you with your request.
