Question and Answers

Q:

Our humidifier at our clinic will not run. It says bucket full even when the button is manually manipulated.

A:

Thank you for your question on the Dehumidifier not running.

I am going to assume that you have the humidity setting lower than the room humidity.

There are a couple of possible problems with the dehumidifier.

The bucket switch that you were referring two may be bad and not turning on the compressor circuit. Make sure you hold the full button in on the bucket switch for about a full minute to let the control board reset and turn on the compressor.

Pushing and releasing the button a number of times will put the control into a lock out to let the compressor circuit delay so the compressor will not try to start on high head pressure.

The other possibility is the control board inside the unit has failed. If this is the problem the case will have to come off the unit to get to that component to check it.

I would suggest if this unit will not start and run and because it is a refrigeration system you will need to have a technician look at the dehumidifier.

Please let me know what you have found and we will continue to trouble shoot with that information.
