Error 75, P5

The fault codes for this type of range (model 790.78909000) are shown in the first image below. I do not see an error 75 or a P5 listed. I also do not see the 02 error code. Unplug the range to disconnect electrical power. Leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. This may reset the control board. After you plug the range back in, see if you can set the clock. If you can set the clock and the control works properly, then you can continue to use the range. The control may have experienced a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines that scrambled the control board.

If you reset the control board using the procedure described above and the control still won't work, look for one the error codes shown in the image below. This may help you determine the cause of your problem.

If you still don't see one of the error codes on the list shown below, I recommend that you have a service technician examine the washer. You may need to have the electronic control board replaced. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

attn: Dale Webb - My old Sears Roebuck belt sander model 1030383 needs sanding belts.

The model number you sent brings up a message, No parts available for this model.

You might measure a belt or what the dimensions a belt would need to be, and search on the internet. You might find someone with the size you need.

I think it is time to clean the sander up and put it in a place of honor in your shop. Let it rest.

I have a Kenmore in wall Oven Model #: 911.3012992, and it will turn on and begin heating for about 4-5 minutes, then shut off by itself. Symptom of?

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I must assume you when you say that the oven is turning off that you mean the burner is shutting off and the glow bar igniter remains glowing red. If this assumption is correct then I must assume the glow bar igniter is too weak to keep the gas valve open. If the igniter is weak it will not pull/draw enough current to keep the gas safety valve open and will cause the flame to shut off but the igniter will remain glowing. Now, if the igniter is turning off then it likely has a faulty oven temperature sensor.

Sensor Resistance test at ERC;

  • Remove power from range.
  • Remove sensor harness disconnect from ERC.
  • With an ohmmeter set for RX100 and check the resistance across the two sensor leads. The sensor resistance should be approximately at 100 ohms with oven at room temperature. If sensor circuit reads open or shorted, test sensor at oven disconnect to determine if problem is in sensor or sensor harness.

NOTE: Disconnect the oven from the power source before servicing.
