craftsman reciprocating saw 7.5 amps

I completely understand your need for some type of instructions on how to properly remove the sleeve from your saw. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. At this time, I was unable to locate information that would be helpful in regards to your question. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having this problem with the saw. I will be happy to assist you with removing the sleeve. First, you need to remove the baffle plate and frame work. They are key numbers 28 and 29 in the parts list. They are secured with a few screws. Once those are removed, the sleeve should slide off. Sometimes they can be a tight fit. If this is the case, you can try loosening it up with compressed air. Insert the nozzle of a blowgun under the edge of the sleeve and pull the trigger. The air being forced around the sleeve should loosen it. Then you can slide the sleeve off the end of the saw.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
