Question and Answers

Q:

How to remove Kenmore over the range microwave # 5648755380

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I pulled up the parts list on the microwave. According to the parts list the microwave is secured with screws along the top. To remove these screws open the doors above the microwave and then you should see the screw on the bottom of the cabinet. Before you remove the screws, have a helper hold the microwave up. Then when ready remove the screws. The microwave should now tip forward. Once it is tipped unhook the chain in the back and lift the unit off the mounting plate.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

Can you give me the location of the fuse on a microwave that is a 1987 Kenmore spacemaster, model 5648755380? thank you

A:

The fuse is located behind the control panel on the right front of your microwave. Disconnect the power cord from the wall before you start. There are 2 screws holding the control panel on the microwave. Remove the screws and drop the control panel down.

The fuse is a tubular fuse that plugs into a fuse holder. It is a 15 amp fuse and the part number is 11255. The cost is around $4.00.
