Question and Answers

Q:

refrigerator laid down during transit. left upright for 24 hrs without plugging in and told to plug in for 3 min unplug for 10 (5-6 times) correct info?

A:

The refrigerator should be left upright for 24 hours after being laid down for transit. After 24 hours you can plug the refrigerator in and leave it turned on.

When a refrigerator is laid down for transit, some of the oil will run out of the compressor into the evaporator and suction line. Twenty four hours is adequate time for the oil to run back into the compressor.

Q:

kenmore elite electric built in oven #790 4808

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The model number provided is not a complete model number.

The first step in diagnosing the failure is to measure and confirm the proper voltage supply. The voltage supply should be measured across line one and line and then across line one and neutral and then line two and neutral. The voltage must measure 220 volts across line one and line and 110 volts across line one and neutral and 110 across line two and neutral.

NOTE: I do not recommend making any voltage measurements unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your wall oven.

If the oven is getting the proper voltage supply and is connected properly, then it could have a faulty relay board or a faulty electronic oven control board depending on the exact model number.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.

Q:

Follow up to "no spin problem" WFMC2100UC/01

A:

After the installation, the E:04 indicates "Door control broken". The E:20 indicates "Spinning aborted due to unbalanced load". The d:08 indicats "motor speed sensor failed." The d:10 indicates "Power limiter switch tripped." The E:09 indicates that communication was lost to the motor.

I recommend that you have a service technician examine and repair this washer.

If you want to continue to troubleshoot the problem yourself, I recommend that you check the wire harnesses for damage and connection problems first. You may also have a defective speed sensor, bad control module or failed motor control.

If you need further assistance, let us know.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.
