Question and Answers

im trying to replace the auger bearing & retainer 536885900

Thank you for your question. I will be happy to assist you. I am sorry you are having a problem removing the pulley. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. The pulley should have a bolt on the backside of the pulley. Look on the backside of the pulley and you should see a bolt with a 1/2 inch head. Some models have two of these blots. (One 90 degrees from the other.) You will need a 1/2 inch socket and a long extension to loosen. Once it is loose turn the pulley and look for another bolt. Sometimes there are two bolts in the pulley. Once the bolt(s) are loose see if you can pull it off. If it does not come loose, soak the pulley and the shaft with a quality-penetrating product and let it sit. If it will not come off after letting it sit, you might need to use a puller or a torch to remove the pulley. Be sure to use caution if you need to heat the pulley to remove it. If none of this works, please send me an image of the pulley. An image of the front and back of the pulley.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
