Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting the manual for you snow-thrower.

It shows that your snow thrower manual is not longer available. I apologize for not having this manual.

I have e-mailed you this manual so you can see if it will work for your model.

Q:

snow thrower model # 536884800 noise when auger engaged how to trouble shoot ordered new gear old gear not worn

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the snow blower. If the snow blower is making noise when the auger is engaged, I recommend looking at the belt first. The easiest way to check the belt is to remove the belt cover. Then start the engine and engage the auger. If the belt looks like it is jumping around and has excessive vibration, I recommend replacing it. If the belt looks fine, I recommend checking the bearings in the impeller input shaft. It is easiest to check the bearings with the auger assembly removed from the rest of the unit. The image below shows how to separate the two on a similar snow blower. Once you have it apart you can turn the pulley by hand slowly and listen for the noise. Once you hear the noise try to pin point where it is coming from.

After you have it pin pointed you can order the parts from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful please let me know if you need further assistance on the snow blower.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Snow blower leaking gas from carburetor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the carburetor. If you have fuel running out of the vent hole the problem is likely with the needle and seat. If they do not seal fuel continues to run into the carburetor and out the vent. You may get by with just cleaning the carburetor. I found a video that shows how to clean and rebuild the carburetor. Click here to watch the video. There are 4 parts to this video. The video shows how to clean and adjust the carburetor. If you need to order any parts for the carburetor you can do so from the following link.

We're sorry. No parts are currently available for this component.
