Question and Answers

Kenmore Oasis HE washer. Model 2707. Not working right.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

When the washer stops at the 17 minute mark in the rinse cycle I suspect it could have a rinse fill issue. It could be taking too long to fill and it just hasn't had time to display a faulty code. You might want check the cold and hot water supply. I would also check to see if the filter screens are restricted inside the port of the water inlet valve where the hot and cold water fill hoses connects to the back of the washer.

Generally speaking if the washer detects a problem it should display a fault code in the display window. When unit stops again, wait longer than several minutes before touching the controls and wait to see if will display a fault code.

So that's what I can tell you at this point. I can give you more detailed help if you could provide me with the complete model number. If you could supply me with that information and the fault code I will be happy to assist you further. The model number is located at the back of the tub opening after opening the lid.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the handle. In 18 years, I do not think I have ever replaced the springs in the handle. I searched for the instructions for installing the springs but did not have any luck. I was able to find out the instructions come with the set of isolators. I tried to get a copy of the instructions but I think it will be a while for these. If you need the instructions, I recommend ordering a set of isolators. The cost of the isolators is about $8.00. They can be ordered from the following link.
