Question and Answers

Q:

Have a code F10 on my Kenmore Elite range, need to get it to stop. Will/can youhelp me

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Generally speaking the electronic oven control has likely failed however there is a small chance that it has a faulty oven temperature sensor probe. I added a Youtube video below showing how to test the temperature sensor. If the sensor tests Okay, replace the oven control/clock assembly.

Press the "Clear" button and then shut off the two house circuit breakers dedicated for the oven. Wait one minute and then power the oven up and if the fault returns upon power up, replace the electronic oven control (EOC).

I added a link below with additional information and I also added a Youtube video showing how to test the temperature sensor (RTD). The sensor should measure approximately 1100 ohms at room temperature.

What does the error code "F10" indicate?

Q:

unable to access thermostat #2198202 to install new thermostat

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with accessing the thermostat. The control has two hidden screws. To access the screws you will need to remove the knobs. Then use a small screwdriver to pry the face of the control off. Just be careful not to break the tab. I have found a video that shows how to access the thermostat. Please click here to watch the video.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
