Question and Answers

Q:

What is the definition of the china cycle on a Kenmore dishwasher?

A:

Without having a specific model number for your Kenmore dishwasher, I will only be able to provide general information concerning the China Cycle on most models. This cycle will normally be shorter than regular cycles. It will probably not preheat the regular wash cycle water. It will heat the final rinse water to 135 degrees instead of 140 degrees on most models. It will cycle the heater on and off in the drying cycle instead of leaving it on constantly.

If you need more specific information for your model, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your Kenmore dishwasher.

Q:

How do I remove the blade from a Sears (from China) #94834 box cutter-6"-Red?

A:

We don't have access to enough information to advise you on removing the blade on this box cutter. I have not used this particular type of box cutter myself. I recommend that you visit the Sears store that you purchased the box cutter from and get help from the salesperson.

Q:

What would cause my new Kenmore Elite Ultrawash HE dishwasher to continuously flash the "China Gentle" LED?

A:

Generally speaking a rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad indicates one or more switch lines are stuck or shorted on the control or the keypad.

It will be safe to use if your able to program and start the dishwasher. There is no need to power it down.
