Q:

One stove top gas burner not working to capacity

A:

Thanks for adding that model number. I recommend that you clean the surface burner that is not working as shown in the image below. You could have a spill or deposits on the burner head. That would prevent the burner from heating properly.

If the burner is clean, then I recommend that you have a service technician examine and repair the range. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

Whirlpool Electric Super Capacity 465

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Without having the model number of your range or oven I will not be able to provide any model specific troubleshooting assistance. Based on your details it sounds like it may have a faulty touch panel or electronic control board. I highly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range/oven. The door will not unlock if the oven is already hot. Once the range oven cools then it may unlock. If does not unlock after it has cooled; program a clean cycle and wait one minute and then cancel the clean cycle and wait to see if the door will open.

If will not open then I suggest calling a service technician to repair your range/oven.

So that's what I can tell you at this point. I can give you more detailed help if you could provide me with the complete model number. If you could supply me with that information I will be happy to assist you further.

Changing nat. gas to lp

A:

We should be able to help you with the location of those orifices but we need the model number of your range in order to see the technical information for that appliance. Reply with that model number and we will assist you as quickly as possible.

NOTE: That LP conversion should be completed by a qualified installer.

Hello Gary. I reviewed the instructions on that LP conversion. Those instructions for tightening down the orifice hood on that bake burner are shown in the image below. That orifice hood does not need to be replaced. It just needs to be tightened down. I added some more detail in that image below. That should help the plumber adjust that orifice hood on the oven burner. If you need more help, let us know.
