Question and Answers

Q:

Dishwasher 46513342600: Water draining from the bottom of both drawers while running. 46513342600 Kenmore Elite Kenmore dishwasher

A:

The bezels cover large openings in the drawer tubs. The water leaking from the bottom of the drawers can be caused by the missing bezels.

I recommend that you replace the bezels.

Q:

Dishwasher model 465-13342600 stops mid-cycle, often in the first cycle. We can sometimes get it running by pushing"start" and re-closing the draw.

Hi Bernard,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

The flashing wash light that you have described is most likely an error code. This dishwasher has a diagnostic program that you can run to see if the dishwasher will declare and issue. The image below contains this diagnostic program and a fault code chart.

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. Be sure to record any failures and when they occur along with any error codes that are displayed. I am looking forward to assisting you again in the near future.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

what is the right dishwasher air gap for my Kenmore Elite?

A:

Hello Serina,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your dishwasher.

You did not mention why you want to install an air gap. This dishwasher does not have to have an air gap, unless the building codes in your area dictate that one must be used. If needed, check with local codes or a plumbing contractor to see what kind of air gap you need. Your under-sink plumbing may have to modified to install an air gap. Purchase an air gap kit from your local hardware store. The kit instructions will tell you what size hole to drill. The air gap kit will come complete unless otherwise stated.

Here is a link to the Installation Guide for your dishwasher.

If you do not feel confident in completing this type of project yourself, I recommend that you use a pre-screened professional from the ServiceLive.com website.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
