Question and Answers

Q:

I am looking for info on the number, and specs for the optional electric starter kit 8890. Can you help?

A:

There is no mention in the parts diagram for the engine of whether or not there is a ring gear on the flywheel of your engine. If there is no ring gear for the starter gear to engage, you can't add an electric starter to the engine.

I would hesitate to add something as expensive as an electric starter to a snow thrower as old as yours is.

We don't have any specs on the starter kit. The part number for the kit is 33328D, and the cost is around $170.00. Our records indicate we have the kit in stock and available to order.

Q:

I need the part that attaches to bolt 131 of part number 138017. This part also attaches to frame of the 917271100 mower.

A:

The part you are looking for is located on the "chassis and enclosures" page and is item 143. Item 3 on the deck page attaches to this L-bracket as shown in the image I am sending you. Bolt 130 is the left bolt shown and bolt 131 is the right side bolt.

The part number for the L-bracket is 186689, and the price is around $3.00. Bolt 131 bolts the bracket (item 3) to the L-bracket which attaches to the frame.

You mentioned needing the part that bolt 130 bolts to, but that part is the frame of the tractor.

Q:

What would cause water to remain or collect in the tub after sitting for 4-5 days?

A:

You should be able to verify if all the water is being pumped out by listening to sound of the pump or watch the water being pumped out the end of the drain hose. If you hear the pump making a surging type noise shortly after starting the drain cycle that would indicate that it has pumped all the water out that it can.

If water seems to collect and puddle in the washer after a few days of sitting that would indicate that the water inlet valve is not shutting completely off and is slowly trickling water into the tub. If you verify that water is slowly trickling into the tub replace the water inlet valve part# 8181694.

Also be sure not to use too much detergent which can cause an incomplete pump out.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.
