Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore 41797812701 leaks fluid

A:

Hi Vanessa,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

From your description you most likely are seeing oil from the transmission. Your washer stopped agitating and is leaking oil, I would highly recommend letting a service technician evaluate this. Replacing the transmission on this laundry center is not an easy job by anyone's standards; I would say 8 or so, on the difficulty scale. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Q:

install drain hose on clothes washer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The link Barbara H will provide the instructions.

In order to access the drain hose you will need to remove the front washer panel. I added the instructions in the image I added below.

You should be able to access and replace the drain hose with out removing the back panel. The drain hose will be clamped to the drain pump. Remove the clamp by squeezing the ends of the clamp together and then slide the clamp away from the pump. Pull the drain hose from the drain pump and reverse the procedure. Check for leaks when completed. Note: Disconnect the power cord from the power supply before removing the front panel.
