Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore model #41794862302, how to replace belt.

A:

According to your details, you are trying to remove the dryer belt in this laundry center. I provided a procedure for that repair in the image below. You will need to _unplug the laundry center and remove (or at least loosen and release) that front dryer panel to get the belt off of the drum and install the new one. If you follow the steps in that procedure, you should be able to replace that belt.

If you need more help, let us know.

You will probably need to loosen or fold down that console to access the screws at the bottom of that front panel. I provided a procedure for opening that console in the image below. Your console may be different than the one shown below but the procedure is probably similar.

Q:

41794862302 Kenmore Washer dryer combo

A:

Hi Teresa,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Incorrect water level is most often caused by a defective water level switch (pressure switch), or one of its components. Visually check the pressure switch hose for holes, kinks, twists, or other damage. Makes sure the wire connections on the water level switch are good. Even if no issues are found replace the pressure switch (134996900) and pressure hose (5304401845) at the same time.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance, please include more details in a reply to this post.

Q:

Is this a needed part?

A:

Thank you for your question on the heat guard on the inside of the dryer door.

The material on the inside of the door is just there to reduce surface temperature of the outer door panel.

It does not effect the operation of the dyer at all.

If you feel that you would want to replace it the part number is: 134535300 for about $20.00.

If you are afraid that someone may get burned from touching the outer door panel you may consider replacing it.

Insulator shield .

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
