Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore washer 417-48102700 no spin

A:

Since the washer drains and spins when you use that rinse and spin setting, the problem that you are describing is probably caused by a bad electronic control board in the console. Replacing that component may fix this problem based on your description. I recommend that you have a service technician complete that repair. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

The technician will check for other problems that could be causing this failure before replacing that control board.

I understand your concern about this type of failure in the washer when it is only 18 months old. This is unusual. All washers have electro-mechanical parts that are susceptible to failure at any age. Replacing the failed component will probably fix this problem so that you will have no further problems.

If you need more help or you want to fix this problem yourself, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

My washer won't spin? 41748102700 Kenmore Washer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You didn't mention if any lights are flashing on the control panel. Whenever the control sensing a failure, the 5 indicator lights and start indicator will flash.

When there is a failure the start light and the indicator lights will begin flashing. The flashing lights will need to be deciphered using the images I added below. Once the fault code/flashing lights as been deciphered it will lead us in the direction of the failure.

It's possible to have faulty door lock assembly even though the door is locking. If the door switch is faulty, the basket will not spin.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Cesar: If your certain it was error code 43, replacing the machine control board should have resolved the issue. I would check all the wire connections and at both control boards, machine control and the motor control board. If the washer will tumble and not spin, will it spin in the test mode? If it does, then it's likely a faulty door lock assembly. You may want to consider calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

If you replaced the control board that is part 134409905, then that was the incorrect component to replace when fixing that problem. You will need to replace the electronic control board that is part 137005010. Be sure that you UNPLUG the washer before accessing internal components. You can order that control board from this page: Electronic Control Board 137005010 for Kenmore Washer . If you need more help, let us know.
