Question and Answers

Q:

turn off buzzer for Kenmore washer

A:

I have checked and it does not look like your washer has a cycle signal switch. Some of our models have a cycle signal switch that allows the consumer to select high, low, and off. If you do not see a switch with this label, your signal cannot be changed.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Washer is leaking from soap dispenser

A:

That link for a previous answer that Yadira B. posted in the above response discusses the same problem in a slightly different type of washer. You could have a clog in that dispenser. Remove the dispenser drawer and check for an item that could be stuck in the housing underneath the dispenser drawer. Clean the dispenser including the siphon holes in that component.

These tips may help you fix that problem. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine the washer and repair this problem, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Washer Repair.

Q:

Parts Replacement Instructions

A:

The timer sends some voltage codes to the motor control board. Assuming that the wire harness connections between the timer and the motor control board are good, replacing the timer should fix your problem. I posted the procedure for replacing that timer in the image below. That information should help you fix that problem. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing and replacing internal components.

You can order that timer from this page: Timer for Kenmore Washer Model 417.29042992 .

If you need more help, reply with additional details.
