Q:

Part 41 on Model 119.214000

A:

Thank you for your question on the slide for the band saw.

This is a plastic blade guard.

It is there for safety reasons to protect you fingers from possible getting cut by the blade if you adjusted the blade guide up and down while the saw was running.

I would suggest replacing it since it is not very expensive and it is in place as a safety guard.

I hope this information will help.

Q:

My LG 795lmx25964st will not chill below 41.

A:

Check your settings to make sure that you have that refrigerator temperature set properly.

Make sure that you do not have anything blocking the supply air vents on the back wall inside the refrigerator.

You can try to resolve this problem by resetting the control boards. Unplug the refrigerator to completely disconnect electrical power for 3 minutes. Plug the refrigerator back in. Check to see if the refrigerator cools normally.

If that does not help, then you may need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you want to conduct some more advanced troubleshooting for this problem, then you can use the information in the first image below. That image shows how to check the resistance of the refrigerator thermistor (temperature sensor) from the main control board on the back of the refrigerator. The second image shows a wiring diagram for the refrigerator. The third image shows a photograph of the main control board and how to access that microcomputer on the outside back wall of the refrigerator. Be sure that you unplug the refrigerator before accessing internal components. The 4th image shows the actual location of that thermistor in the top of the refrigerator. This information should help you further troubleshoot this cooling failure on your own. If you need more assistance with that troubleshooting, reply with additional details.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website if necessary.

NOTE: A defrost problem could be inhibiting air flow to the refrigerator. Other component problems could also be preventing the refrigerator from cooling properly. Let us know if you need more help resolving this cooling issue in your refrigerator.

Q:

kenmore washer 48102 error 41

A:

Hi Atila,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

The E41 error on this washer indicates that the control board does not sense the door switch is closed. Most likely you have a bad door lock/switch assembly. I am including the tech sheet in the images below. Refer to test number 7, which instructs you to check the door switch.

The diagnosis of this issue will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have an ohm/volt meter and are confident in your technical abilities, please reply below and I will be happy to give you the checks.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
