Question and Answers

Q:

How do I replace the fuel line on a Craftsman weedwacker model no. 358797150?

A:

The fuel line goes through a grommet in the fuel tank to seal around the line. Some tanks don't have grommets, the tightness of the fit between the fuel line and tank seal adequately. The fuel pick up or filter inside the tank pushes into the end of the new fuel line. To get the fuel pick up off the original line, use a clean piece of wire with a hook bent into the end. Catch the fuel line with the hook and pull the fuel pick up out of the fuel tank.

Leave the same amount of tubing inside the tank as was there before. The fuel pick up has to move around inside the tank to always be in fuel as you turn the engine in different angles.
