how to restring my starter rope on my craftsman gas weedwacker model # 358796281

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the trimmer. To access the starter you have to remove the throttle cable from the carburetor. Then loosen the clamp securing the engine to the drive shaft and slide them apart. Next, remove the screws that secure the starter housing to the engine. Once you have it apart click here to watch a video on how to replace the rope.
