Question and Answers

Q:

How to remove the clutch on my 358795792 gaspowered hedgetrimmer?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with removing the clutch from the trimmer. I assume you have gotten down to the clutch but you cannot remove the clutch from the crankshaft because it is turning. The easiest way to remove the clutch is to remove the spark plug. Then feed some soft rope into the sparkplug hole. Once the rope is in place, turn the clutch. When the piston jams against the rope, it will stop turning. Then you can use a punch and hammer to tap the clutch to loosen it. I have found a video that shows how to remove the clutch on a line trimmer. The instructions loosening the clutch are the same. Click here to watch the video.
