Q:

Craftsman gasoline weedwacker, 32cc, #358795560: This unit sat in the garage for a year. Now I want to use it and I'm replacing the

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the trimmer. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. According to the parts list the primmer is mounted near the carburetor. To replace the primer remove the air filter cover. Then take out the two screws securing the carburetor. The cover that the primer is attached to should be loose. Before you disconnect the fuel lines to the carburetor make a note of how they connect. Then disconnect the lines and replace the primer. Once the new primmer is installed reassemble the trimmer in the reverse order.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance with the repair.

Q:

My Craftsman 32 cc gas Brushwacker will start but will not continue to run

A:

Clean the air cleaner and if this doesn't help, the carburetor must have some stopped up passages inside it. I would replace the carburetor instead of trying to clean it.

I recommend you always put fuel stabilizer in the oil/gas mixture to prevent blockage of passages in the carburetor in the future.
