Question and Answers

Q:

Why does my leafblower model 358-794764 stop shortly after starting

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the blower. If the fuel mixture in the blower is older than 5 weeks old, it should be drained. Then refill with fresh fuel mix. If this does not help I suspect there is a problem with the fuel system. I recommend checking in the fuel tank first. When you look in the tank, you should see a fuel line with a white filter attached to the end. Then inspect the fuel line. If it is hard and brittle, it has to be replaced. Here is a video that shows how to replace the fuel line. If the fuel line is fine, I suspect the carburetor is to blame. The carburetor will have to be cleaned or replaced. Here is a video that show how to clean the carburetor. Before you remove the carburetor, make sure to note the fuel line and cable connections. This will save a lot of frustration later. The parts for the blower can be ordered from the following link. Parts for Craftsman blower

If this does not cure the problem I recommend removing the muffler. Then check the operation. If the engine runs fine, you need to clean the screen in the muffler.

I hope this helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.

Q:

ground wire for kill switch location 358794764 Craftsman Blower

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the blower. I should be able to assist you. I posted an image below that shows how the wires should be connected. Just click on the image to enlarge it. The hardest wire to connect is the one with the large eyelet. This connector is to dissipate and static charge in the plastic. This eyelet should be connected to one of the post where a screw goes through to secure the two halves together. Once it is sandwiched in the housing, it will not move.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
