Q:

What is the compression on craftsman chainsaw 358-360280

A:

Thank you for your question as to what the proper compression should be on your chain saw.

On a 42CC 2.6 cu inch chain saw engine the compression should be 142 psi on the low end to 165 on the high end.

Q:

Initial carburator settings for a Craftman chain saw Mod# 358360280.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with setting the carburetor. The initial mixture screws on this saw are 1 1/8 turn out. Do to EPA regulations I do not recommend that you adjust the carburetor. If the saw is not running correctly, I recommend cleaning the carburetor first. I have found a video that shows how to clean the carburetor. Click here to watch the video. If the saw still has problems, I recommend replacing the carburetor. The carburetor will come from the factory already set and ready to run. If you would like to order the carburetor, you can do so from the following link. Craftsman chain saw model 358360280 carburetor

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
