Question and Answers

Q:

chain saw mod # 358350660 need fuel line routing appears to have an extra line

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the chainsaw. We do not have any written instructions for replacing the fuel line on chainsaws but I will try to help you. First, remove the air filter cover and the air filter. Then draw a diagram of how the fuel line is routed. I have also provided you with an image below showing the fuel line circuit. Then remove the all of the old fuel lines from the saw. When you are ready to reinstall the line cut one end so that it is tapered about an inch up. This will give you something to stick into the hole of the tank. Once in the hole reach into the tank with long forceps and grab the line and pull it through. Once you have it pulled in cut the pointed end off and install the filter. The line should be long enough so the fuel filter is on the bottom of the fuel tank. Then do the same for the return line. The only difference is the return line only has to be sticking in the tank about a half an inch.

I have found a few videos that I think might help you. Please click here to watch the first video . Then click here to watch the second video.

Q:

Craftsman Chainsaw will not accelerate.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with this problem. It sounds like the problem is just a carburetor adjustment. If your model has limiter caps, you can remove the caps to get further adjustments. I have found a video that shows how adjust the carburetor. Click here to watch the video. Also, make sure the fuel mix is less than 5 weeks old.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the repair of the chainsaw.
