Q:

water softner

A:

Your water softener is an on demand unit. The on demand means the softener will only regenerate when it needs too. If you are using more water than normal, the softener will regenerate more. The more the softener regenerates the more salt it will use. If the water hardness level is set too high, the softener will regenerate too often and use more salt.

I recommend taking a sample of your hard water to your local Sears store for testing. They can test the water hardness and tell you the number the softener should be set at. The instructions for setting the hardness level will be glued to the under side of the lid.

Q:

Kenmore Microwave 721.67909600

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.  I am sorry you are having a problem with your Kenmore Microwave 721.67909600.

The heating element is only a 120 volt heating element and it could take as long as 45 minutes or longer to reach 325 degrees. If your house voltage supply is below 120 volts, it will take longer to preheat. It should beep five tones when it reaches the set temperature.   The higher the temperature setting the longer it will take to reach the temperature. If it will never reach 425, then I can only suggest taking the unit back for service or exchange. I would test it before leaving the store if possible.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
