Question and Answers

Q:

My electric Kenmore dryer runs for 10-12 minutes and stops. Sometimes hot smell is noticeable. After 10 mins or so, will restart, but same cutoff happens.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I do not have enough details in order to have a full or complete understanding of the symptom. When it shuts off and you press the start button, does it at least start and run as long as you press and hold the start button in? If it will start and run as long as you push and hold the start button, the motor is not overheating and shutting off on the motor thermal overload. If it will not start and you have to let it sit and cool down before the motor will start, then the motor is likely overheating and shutting off on the motor thermal overload. If this is the case, the motor will likely need to be replaced.

If it will start back up right after it quits running, then it could have faulty motor relay, faulty even heat control board or possibly a faulty thermistor or a loose wire connection in the thermistor circuit.

Now; if you're using the Automatic dry cycles and the moisture sensor bars located below the lint filter intake grill is not detecting moisture, it will also cause the dryer to shut off because it is not sensing any moisture in the clothes and it will shut off. Try running a Time cycle and see if will stay running. If it does, then a wire may have come loose from one of the moisture sensor bars.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Are there horizantal and vertical hold controls on a 10 yr old 32" Sanyo TV? And if so, where?

A:

A TV made around 2000 would most likely not have a vertical hold adjustment since the need for this adjustment has been eliminated by technology. Vertical hold problems are generally described as the image rolling. Horizontal lines (going left to right) and vertical shaking (top to bottom) is a more common symptom of the vertical deflection collapsing. The fact that you hit it on the side to correct it makes me suspect that you have a poor solder connection in this circuit. The exact location and IC will depend on the model but I would look for an IC501 labeled LA7841 and see if there are any ringcracks around the solder joints. Take extreme caution when working on your TV, The tube will hold a harmful charge long after the power has been disconnected. If you cannot identify the flyback and anode lead as well as capacitors visually I would avoid inspecting your board.

I may have misinterpreted your symptom and if you need to ask the question again try to get your model number so I can be more specific.

Q:

How can I obtain an owners manual for a Craftsman 10/32 snowblower with tracks?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with finding the manual. I checked our site for the manual but we no longer have a copy of the manual for your model. I looked up other models and found a manual close to yours. Click here to load that manual. The instructions in the manual should match your snow blower. Just make sure to use your model number to order parts. Do not use the part numbers listed in the manual. They may not fit. If the track is catching, I recommend checking the tension of the track first. If it is not tight enough it might rub. The instructions for adjusting the track are located on page 24.

If you need parts for the snow blower, you can order them from the following link.Replacement parts for a Craftsman snow blower model 356.885000.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
