Question and Answers

Q:

917,377130 part 57 bag frames comes in two parts

A:

Thank you for your question.

There are two types of bags. The first has a pocket that the back section of the frame threads. To install this style you have to thread the back section through the pocket. Then bunch up the bag so the ends of the frame are sticking out on each side. Now take the front part of the frame and slip it on to the back part of the frame. Most of the time, these will not line up because one of them is bent. If this is the case, flex the back section to match the front. Once you have them joined, work the bag into position along each side. Then work the vinyl binding over the frame opening.

The second style does not have the pocket. This style you have to slip both parts of the frame together first. Again, you might have to flex the parts to get then to fit. Once it is together put the bag over the frame and secure with the vinyl bindings.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below.

Q:

Manual help...How do I install a lever for my Craftsman 247-884551 snowblower? The manual has a pick, but doesn't show close up of where it goes. Thank you.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I have checked our manual and was not able to find an image of how the spring fits into the housing. I will do the best I can to explain how to install the spring. To install the spring the housing has to be taken apart and the spring is used to hold the lever in the selected gear. It should fit between the lever and the housing. You should see wear marks where the old spring was.

I hope this is helpful.

Q:

Vacuum problem. Bought 02/06/08

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can sure understand your concern as to why you need to hold the hose and handle together to get the Power Mate to work.

• The problem you are having if I understand your description correctly is that the wire connection where the hose meets the handle is not making a good connection all the time.

• There are two other connections that are possible depending on where you are putting the pressure.

• If you are just pushing down on the handle the plug in connections where the lower wand plugs into the Power Mate is one possibility. The other location is where the upper wand plugs into the hose handle assembly.

• If you are pushing on where the hose goes into the handle then it is probably is a broken wire in the hose.

• The wire coils on the hose is what carries the electricity from the vacuum canister to the handle switch and then down the wands to the Power Mate.

• If you can isolate the bad connection to be sure that you are going to be replacing the correct part.

• If it is the hose wires I will give you some pictorial instructions as to how to replace the hose assembly below.

• If it is in the handle harness plug you will need to take the handle apart and replace the handle harness.

• The handle has recessed screws that hold the handle together and one hidden screw at the back of the hand hole to hold the switch cover on.

• The wand wire harness can only be changed with a replacement lower wand.

• If the bad connection is in the Power Mate connection plug you will need to disassemble the Power Mate to replace that harness.

If you have Isolated the problem area please use the link to get more detailed instructions on how to repair.

I hope this will help with your vacuum cleaner.
