Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having a problem with the engine. I will be happy to assist you diagnosing the solenoid. The image below show how to check the solenoid. If the solenoid is working I recommend pouring in a thimble full of fuel into the throat of the carburetor. Then try to start the engine. What carburetor or carburetor kit is needed for my Briggs Engine 31C707, Type number 0230-E1?

There are 2 part numbers for the replacement carburetor for a Nikki. Before date code 050813 use 792358. After date code 080514 use 796109. These will be exact replacement carburetors. Get the date code from the engine so you will get the correct part.
