I am sorry you are having a problem with the trimmer. I do not recall if this engine has a compression release. I suspect they do because mine was hard to pull until I adjusted the valves. If the engine is producing unusually low compression, I recommend checking the valve adjustment first. I posted an image below that show how to adjust the valves. Click on the image to enlarge it. Once you have the valves adjusted, you can pull the rope slowly while observing the exhaust rocker on the compression stroke. If the valve bumps open slightly the engine has a compression release.  If the engine still will not start, I recommend checking for spark at the spark plug. If you have spark, try starting the engine by spraying a little starting fluid into the carburetor. If it still will not start, I suspect the low compression is caused by a damaged cylinder and rings.
