Question and Answers

Q:

How do you get the 31511701 belt sander to release after changing the belt?

A:

I am assuming you pushed the roller in to replace the sanding belt and the roller did not return to its original position.

This is probably caused by a buildup of sawdust and gum from the sanding belt.

Remove the sanding belt and clean the idler roller and it's bracket. The spring should return the idler roller, the spring might be broken.
