Q:

Craftsman Sabre Saw 315 172280

A:

Thank you for your question on the Allen screw that holds the blade is stripped.

I am sorry to hear that it is stripped out because you would have to order the whole saw bar assembly and it is no longer available.

You may want to try to re-drill and tap for a larger size replacement Allen screw.

I am sorry that I could not help you more with this repair. You may want to consider a new Sabre saw if you think it is not repairable. Craftsman Sabre saw .

Q:

Re programing a Craftsman 315 MHG garage door opener.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to program the remotes to the logic board.

If you purchased the item 53751 you sent in the link it is a replacement universal logic board that you hard wire to the logic board on the motor unit.

It has a cover that you pop off and there is a button behind the cover that you push to program the remotes.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

How to install the timing belt on a Craftsman 315 11760 belt sander?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to change the drive belt on the belt sander.

It looks like from the picture I was able to pull up that you will need to remove the 4 screws on the side cover with the logo on it and then roll the old cog belt off if not broken and roll the new cog belt on starting with the motor pulley and then rolling it on the driven pulley.

The image for this old sander is not very good so I am mostly going on memory.

The part number for the belt is:621826-000 and you can purchase it from: Sears Parts Direct .

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

A:

Thank you for the update. This one has a blower on it and has more parts to take off. Yes you are right there is not many part available for these old sanders. Sears requires the manufacture to have parts available for 12 years and most other manufactures don't do that. But vendors for Sears are required in most cases to provide the parts for that long.
