How do I revive my laptop that suddenly crashed?

The spec sheet shows that your laptop most likely came with Windows XP. The error "Stop: 0x00000024" is an error that occurred with the driver that allows read/write to the NTFS file system. This could mean that there is a problem with a file in your operating system or a problem with the hardware. I would assume that if it is a hardware problem that it would be specific to your hard drive but I have read cases where the consumer found other causes.

I would start out by checking the hard drive. Since you are asking about reviving your computer I am under the assumption that you cannot boot into Windows. Obtain the windows XP installation CD and bring up the recovery console to run Chkdsk without having to boot from the hard drive. More information can be found on Microsoft's site. Specific information to the recovery console can be found here . Be sure to research the Chkdsk Utility and reference it to your operating system since I do not know specifically what you are running.

As far as prevention, you would need to know what caused the problem in the first place. If the hard drive failed there's little to prevent that. Making sure that the laptop is well ventilated and clean adds life to it by decreasing heat.
