A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I double checked the part number of the Bake ignitor (5303935066) and it is a good part number. You can order from SearsPartsDirect . Click on the link and will take you to directly to the page. It will list 4 of the same part numbers. It will be a universal ignitor that will fit many different models.

Q:

oven gas doesnt ignite.. just fills up with gas... broiler works stove top works... just oven will not work...help

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

CAUTION; DO NOT use the bake feature until your range has been repaired. Based on your symptom and details the bake igniter is too weak to allow the gas valve to open fully/properly in order to ignite. If the bake burner is clean and intact (not broken or rusted out) then the current draw of the bake igniter should be tested. Also make sure the bake igniter is mounted up against the burner and not tilted and hanging down by one screw. The gas must flow to the bake igniter in order to ignite the burner.

I added an image below with the theory of the bake operation and how to check for a weak bake igniter. You will need a clamp on amperage meter in order to check the current draw of the bake igniter. If the bake igniter is not pulling a minimum of 2.9 amps; replace the igniter. The bake igniter is part #5303935066 and it can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect The bake igniter glow bar should pull a minimum of 2.90 amps in order to open and keep the gas valve open. If the igniter is only pulling 2.79 amps or less it may not be sufficient to open the oven safety valve properly. Use caution when checking the current draw and do not have your face over the bake burner when checking the current draw.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

KENMORE ELETE CATALYST WASHER MODEL # 110.2009691 BOUGHT 01/30/2000

A:

That model number appears to be slightly off. That may be why you were not able to access the manual. The model number is probably 110.20096991. Here is a link for that manual: Kenmore Elite Catalyst Washer 110.20096991 Owner's Manual .

Your spin failure could be caused by problem with the clutch or the basket drive. Since you indicated that the washer agitates, the motor drive coupler is probably okay. If you are not positive that the agitator is moving in the agitate mode (even though the motor is running in the agitation mode) then I recommend that you check that issue. If the agitator does not move and the basket does not spin, then that motor coupler is probably broken. Here is a video that shows how to replace that motor coupler. You can order that part from this page: Kenmore Elite Catalyst Washer 110.20096991 Motor Coupler . Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

If the agitiator is moving properly, then you may need to access and check the clutch assembly. Here is a video that shows how to access and replace the clutch assembly. You can order a clutch kit from this page: Complete Clutch Assembly for Kenmore Elite Catalyst Washer 110.20096991 .

A failure in the transmission or the basket drive could also prevent the washer from spinning even though it would agitate.

These initial tips may help you resolve this spin failure in your washer. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
