Question and Answers

Q:

We purchased a 30" gas freestanding LG double oven which was delivered on 2/23/13.

A:

I am not aware of any problems or common issues with that model of LG double oven. You are probably correct about the noise being caused by metal contracting. Since the oven is brand new, you may consider having a service technician examine it. The technician can check for any potential problems while the oven is still under warranty.

A:

Based on your description, I recommend that you have a service technician examine the range under the warranty. Based on that recommendation, you should not be charged for service if the technician finds that the noise is normal and nothing is wrong. Let the phone agent know that we recommended the service call and the will set up the warranty service. You should not have to worry that you will be charged anything based on my recommendation. If you need more help, let me know.

Q:

My power went out and I was using my Kenmore top loading washing machine. When power came back on I cannot get it open the lid locked light is blinking.

A:

Check for other blinking lights on the control along with that lock light blinking. The status lights beside the control will blink lights in a pattern if the control detects a problem with a component in the washer.

Try unplugging the washer for 5 minutes and then plugging it back in may reset the control. After plugging the washer back in, try to cancel the cycle.

If the washer still won't work and it is under warranty, I recommend that you call Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) to talk to a technical specialist and schedule service if necessary.

If the washer is not still under warranty, reply with additional details (any other lights lit or blinking on the control). We will assist you further once we receive more information.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I double checked the part number of the Bake ignitor (5303935066) and it is a good part number. You can order from SearsPartsDirect . Click on the link and will take you to directly to the page. It will list 4 of the same part numbers. It will be a universal ignitor that will fit many different models.
