I purchased a Kenmore 50351 Dehumidier on 6/30/11.

A:

Thank you for your question on the dehumidifier running so much.

The on board humidistat is similar to the one that you have bought but may be more sensitive to subtle changes in the humidity in the area.

When you change any setting you need to wait 24 hrs for the room to acclimatize to the new setting.

It could have a problem but it is going to run to sample the air and turn the compressor on and off as needed to remove moisture.

If you think it is a concern, and since it is new and has warranty you may want to have it checked just to be re-assured it is running normally.

How can I get help with a dishwasher repair that began on 11/3 with parts back ordered at least until 12/30?

Using your model number (665.15782300) I looked at the parts for this dishwasher that are no longer available. It appears that the white control console is virtually the only part that is not available. Since your dishwasher model indicates that this is a white dishwasher, I am thinking that this is the part that is holding up your repair. The white console substitutes to a black console but the white console does not appear to be available. In our parts system, the black console does appear to be back ordered. Based on this information, if the white console is going to be replaced with the black console because that is the only one available, then you may need to continue to wait for the black console since it apparently will be available around 12/30. Since we are technicians on the Manage My Home website, we cannot personally help you with moving this repair forward other than researching the technical information about your dishwasher such as the details indicated above. I recommend that you call Sears Service at 1-800-4MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663) and try to get their help with this repair based on the information about the console if that is actually the problem. A Master Protection Agreement does have a rental reimbursement clause. (If you need a different part, resubmit your question with the part that is back ordered and we can do additional research similar to what is presented above.)

I made a service appointment for Friday from 8-12 -- but I have to leave for work by 11:30. Can I request to be serviced between 8-10?

Thank you for your question on the schedule for service time frames.

You can call the morning of service and see if they can put a message in for the technician.

The window is 8-12 and he could come anytime up to 12:00. Then he will need time to repair the item.

If you are afraid of not making it to work on time then you may want to re-schedule for a different day.
