Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer runs but no heat

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on the model I see it's a gas dryer. There could be one of many reasons why your Kenmore dryer is not heating:

  • Broke glow bar ignitor
  • Electronic control failure
  • Flame detector
  • Safety thermostat
  • Hi-limit thermostat
  • Motor centrifugal switch
  • Solenoid coils
  • Thermistor

This type of failure will require accessing and testing all the components connected in a series circuit between the control and burner assembly for continuity with an Ohm meter. It would also require checking the resistance of the thermistor. If any one of the components tests open/no continuity; the part is faulty and will need to be replaced.

I highly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your gas dryer. I added images below with the basic troubleshooting information intended for the service technician with proper training and knowledge. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing the dryer.

Q:

How much oil goes into the pump on a Craftsman 2900 7.0 HP Pressure Cleaner model 580.752410?

A:

Your pressure washer uses a blend of oils with synthetic and natural oils. To get the correct oil you need to order 190585GS pump oil from Sears. The bottle will be the correct amount of oil the pump needs. The cost of the oil is around $6.00.

Q:

Dryer, Kenmore front load Model # 796.8027 2900 (electric) wont turn off.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details the electric contacts inside the motor relay have welded closed. Based on your symptom, the main electronic control board (PCB) will need to be replaced. The main PCB board part #EBR33640913 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

I added a couple of images below with the procedure of accessing and removing the PCB. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.
