Question and Answers

Taking deck off

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with removing the blades. First, park the mower on a hard level surface and remove the key. Then lower the mower to the lowest position and set the parking brake. Next, roll the belt off one of the deck pulleys. Just be careful. The belt is spring tensioned so it will snap off. Once the belt is off remove the R-pins that secure the lift links. Now slide the lift links off the pins and raise the life lever. The deck should be disconnected. Slide the deck out from under the mower and turn it up side down. While you are replacing the blades take the time to clean under the deck and check the condition of the belts. Once you are done replacing the blades, reassemble the mower in the reverse order.
Just in case you do not have a manual for the mower, I found one. Click here to load it.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.
