Question and Answers

Q:

I own three 1987 built craftsman 12-inch model 113.243310 band saw/sanders. My blade travels at 2708 ft/min. I need to slow it down to 2000 ft/min using a 6.77

Thank you for your question.

I have looked up the model number you have submitted. The only pulley listed for the saw is the original. If you are sure there is enough clearance for the larger pulley, I recommend ordering a pulley from a pulley supplier. I have found one online that should have the pulley you need. Click here to be taken to their site. The original pulley has a 5/8 keyed bore with setscrew and a 1/2 groove. You will need to measure the key to know what size keyway is needed.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

Why does my Kenmore Elite washer display the UL error code and unbalances after 12 minutes left on cycle?

A:

Hello Curtis. You may want to check the suspension rods and springs in your washer. There is a chance that you could have a problem with those components. The images below show how to access thost suspension rods. If those rods are okay, then you could have a problem with the tub bearing if you did not find an item stuck between the spin basket and that outer tub. There is a new repair process for replacing the bearing in that outer tub. If you suspect that you have that type of failure, I recommend that you have the washer serviced by a technician. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services . If you need more help, let us know.

Hello Greg. That resistance reading on the motor is correct. The 16 ohm resistance is just through one winding. Since you are measuring the resistance through 2 windings, the 30 ohm reading is correct. The motor will probably need to be replaced due to the cracked stator. If the suspension rods are okay, then that outer tub will probably need to be replaced if you are going to fix this problem yourself. I recommend that you price the parts that you anticipate that you will need before proceeding. The repair may not be economically feasible. You can view parts and their prices on this page: Kenmore Washer Model 110.27086603 Parts . Be sure that you UNPLUG the washer before accessing internal components and replacing parts. If you need more help, reply with additional details.

Kenmore oasis elite trouble shooting

A:

That link for a previous answer that James posted in the above response may help you with this washer problem. You could have a broken suspension rod or a bad bearing at the bottom of that outer tub. A service technician will normally need to repair that bearing problem. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
