Question and Answers

How can I remove the drip pan on my upright Kenmore freezer model 25329082990 for cleaning?

The drip pan on the compressor of your freezer is not designed to be removed.

The odor is most likely caused by mildew and if you add a cup of bleach directly to the pan it should kill the mildew that is causing the odor.

You can pull the freezer out and access the drain pan from the rear. Add a cup of bleach directly to the pan. The bleach will kill the mildew causing odors.

There is a replacement kit 5304428401 with a new drip pan but it's for freezers that had the compressor replaced. The pan stayed with the old compressor and the replacement drain pan is to be mounted on the new compressor. It was not possible to remove the drip pan from the compressor.

I hope this information helps resolve your problem but submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.

I have the same problem above although my drip pan is filled with horrible stagnant water after a power outage and a thaw. Is the drip pan supposed to automatically drain into the plastic mobile drainage tray? The freezer is upright and is model 25329082990. I am going out to manually drain that drip pan but I want to make sure I put the plastic tray back in the right place as well. It is hard to see exactly where that plastic tray is supposed to go. Any thoughts appreciated.....Terry
