Question and Answers

Q:

snow thrower model 247882550 does not propel

A:

Thank you for your question.

There could be a few things that would cause the snow blower not to drive. I recommend checking the drive belt first. I have provided you with an image below. The image has the instructions for checking the belt. If the belt is fine, next check the drive cable tension. Just pull the drive handle down. The cable should be tight. If it is not tight, check the routing of the cable. There is not an adjustment for this cable it would have to be replaced. If the belt and cable are fine, I would suspect a failed transmission. If the transmission is defective, I recommend having a service technician replace it for you.

I hope this is helpful.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with your snow blower. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. I posted an image below I think you will find it useful in the repair of the handle assembly. It shows the placement of the spring that most customers have a difficult time with.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on putting the handle together.
