Question and Answers

Q:

How do I remove the hub cap on a sears Craftsman log splitter, model 24777640.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with removing the hubcap. I use a hammer and straight blade screwdriver to remove the hubcap. Work a small screwdriver between the hub and the hubcap. Once the screwdriver is in place, tap the end of the screwdriver with the hammer to drive the hubcap out of the hub. If you have a problem getting a screwdriver into position you can use a pair of slip join pliers to grip the hubcap. Once you have grip on the cap pull out and wiggle it up and down.

I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

Why won't my 2008 Kenmore Microwave heat food?

A:

You will need to have a service technician diagnose and fix the microwave if you choose to repair it. The microwave could have a blown fuse or problem with the control board. A failed magnetron or a number of other internal component problems could be preventing the microwave from heating. Microwaves are inherently dangerous to service. Internal high voltage components can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. A microwave radiation shielding leakage test must be performed on the unit following any internal component access and repair. These are the reasons that a service technician is required for microwave diagnosis and repair. Based on the labor cost and the likelihood that parts will need to be replaced, you may consider replacing the microwave instead of having it repaired.
