Q:

919165600 wiring 240 volt

A:

I assume that this air compressor has a 120 volt power cord. This compressor is not set up to be rewired for 240 volts. I recommend that you replace the compressor if you want to run a 240 volt model.

Q:

why would the dryer not be heating to dry clothes

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The numbers you provided is not the model number. The model number will begin with the prefix of 110 and then dot or space and a set of numbers following.

The dryer may not be heating because of:

  • Lack of proper voltage. It needs to have a 220 volt power supply in order to heat. (Locate and reset both house circuit breakers dedicated for the dryer and then see if will heat).
  • Open/faulty thermal cut off.
  • Faulty heating element.
  • Faulty electronic control board.

If the dryer is getting the proper voltage of 220 volts then I suggest disconnecting the thermal cut off and test if for continuity with an Ohm meter. The heating element can also be disconnected and tested for continuity with the Ohm meter.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the lower access panel. I added an image below with the wiring diagram and the procedure for removing the lower access panel and how to test the thermal cut off.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
