Q:

Strobing Horizon RE7.6

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the elliptical. If the console is lighting up and blanking out I recommend checking the electrical connections from the power outlet to the console. If all of the connections are fine you will need to check the voltage going into the elliptical from the power supply. You should have at least 6 volts DC. If you have this reading the voltage to console. If you have the voltage going to the console the console is likely the problem. The parts can ordered from the following link. elliptical parts

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage my life.

Matthew, I am glad to hear you have the elliptical working without any explosion. I am sorry about the service you received at the parts store. I am not sure why there was that big of a price difference in the power supplies. If the part numbers were the same then Parts direct will price match. I the store had a universal power supply and Parts direct had the original power supply that would explain the difference in price. I most every case an aftermarket part will be less than an original replacement. We have a return policy that is similar if not the same as all part supply companies in that we usually do not return opened/installed electrical parts. The reason is we have no way to know if the part is good or bad. For instance. If the electrical wires in the elliptical were shorted and you plugged in the new power supply to test operation. It would have shorted the power supply and not fixed the problem. Now you return the power supply thinking it is still good but in fact, it was shorted and now does not work. I know yours was not shorted I used it as an example. I hope this explains why we have this policy. We will exchange defective electrical parts if defective. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark.
