Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer won't come on.

A:

Hi Charlie,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Typically when a dryer like yours will not start the most likely failure is the thermal fuse. Jackie gave you a link above to a previous question that describes how to check this. If the thermal fuse is good the next thing to check is the door switch. I have included the wiring diagram and some component information on your dryer in the image below.

Here is a video that demonstrates gaining access to the door switch; Video . Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. The dryer in this video may not look exactly like yours, but the procedure is basically the same.

A quick check you can do is to bypass the door switch and see if the dryer operates. Unplug the dryer and once you have the dryer open (see video); locate the connector at the door switch. Place an insulated piece of wire between the blue and white wires. After inserting the bypass, tape this connection with electrical tape and make sure it will not touch anything else. Plug the dryer back in and try starting a cycle. If it starts, the door switch (part number 3406107) needs to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance, include more details in a reply to this post.

Q:

22 in high wheeled trimmer

A:

Thank you for your question on the high wheeled trimmer not running.

It sounds like you are having a fuel problem and it may be that the float is not set correctly or the needle valve is sticking and not letting enough fuel into the carburetor bowl.

If you can make it run by pushing the primer bulb I am concerned that the pick up tube orifice in the bottom of the carburetor stem is plugged. Please look at this please and then while you are in the carburetor you can check the action of the flow and needle valve.

Please let me know what you find out.

Q:

What is the weight of a Kenmore Galaxy 22' refrigerator?

A:

I don't have a weight specification available on this refrigerator. Most refrigerators of this size would weight about 200 pounds. I anticipate that your refrigerator will weigh about that much.

I did not find information on the exact model number 10655122600. I suspect that the model number is actually 1065512700. The size specifications for this model are shown in the image below.

You can find the owner's manual online at our Manage My Home website. On the home page, hold your mouse over the square labeled "HOME" in the upper left of the page and choose the option "Products and manuals" from the drop-down menu that appears.

Then enter the following information in the search fields:

Type of Product: Refrigerator

Brand: GALAXY (NOTE: Use this brand name.)

Model no.: 10655122700

If you have any trouble accessing the manual, please call the Manage My Home Member Services Team at 1-800-803-6775, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Central Time. They will be more than happy to help you track down the manual.

I also included a link below for your owner's manual.
