Q:

1988 sears band saw

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the saw. The motor pulley should just slide on to the motor shaft. Then align the slots in the shaft and pulley. Once aligned push the key into the slot. This will keep the pulley from spinning on the shaft. Once every thing is aligned, tighten the setscrew on the back of the pulley. The image below has the instructions for attaching the pulley and the motor to the saw. Please click on the image to enlarge it. If you are missing any of the parts or if the motor pulley is loose on the shaft you can order them from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. A picture would be helpful if you have a camera.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

Kenmore Gas Range Model 665 750 22102 Bake Ignitor Issue

A:

The previous posts that read probably refer to a glow bar igniter system. The link for a previous answer provided in the above response also pertains to a glow bar igniter system. Your range has a direct spark igniter system that is described in this link for a previous answer: Where can I find specific procedures for checking the control board functions on my Whirlpool gas range model TGS325MQ4?

I verified that the spark igniter on your range does cost $63.82. The bake igniter is part number 8190618. You can order that part from the Sears PartsDirect website if necessary.

NOTE: Replacing the spark igniter may not fix your ignition problem in this system. As noted in the link for a previous answer provided above, there are a number of different failures that could be causing your ignition problem. I normally recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of ignition system. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

This is a difficult ignition system for many technicians to diagnose. An intermittent problem may make the diagnosis even more difficult. The technician may be able to determine the cause of the problem and fix it right away. I can't guarantee that the technician will be able to find the cause of your problem if the range is working normally at the time of the service. If the Sears technician is not able to verify the failure at the time of service, then there is a chance that you would be charged a minimum service fee and the range may not be able to be repaired at that time. You can discuss that situation with the technician. If the range is working normally at the time of service, the technician may be able to offer you a Sears Protection Agreement that would cover any future failures. I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

Is the manual for a Kenmore stove model #363.9878810 made in 1988 available?

A:

All ovens are vented some how and somewhere. Your specific model oven is supposed to be vented under the right rear burner and it should not be capped. It is supposed to exhaust up under the right rear burner pan hole and out under the burner element. However, it's suppose to have a "body vent" sitting over the opening of the oven vent tube in order to slightly redirect the oven heat over under the center of the right rear burner. Make sure it has the "body vent" sitting in the correct position and make sure the drip pan has the hole in the center in so the oven heat can vent up through the center of the right rear burner. (See image below) Key# 254 is the "body vent" that is used to slightly redirect the oven exhaust. If it's missing or not sitting correctly it will cause the main top to get extremely hot because it is not directing the heat up through the center of the right rear burner pan and element. If you find that the body vent key# 254 is missing, the "body vent" is no longer available.

The user's manual is not available online but it appears to be available for ordering, part# S594001. I added a link to Sears Parts Direct below with the user's manual looked up for you.
